All about Eve

Since I can't read books because I can't hold them for long these days, I've broke on through to the other side. I've begun to watch movies.

Rati, I know you are snickering and dying to know all that I saw so I won't disappoint. In the past two days while I was at home trying to get better, I saw:

The Dark Knight - It's unbelievably long (What? Does it think it is a Hindi movie?). I thought I will just catch a nice action-packed movie and be distracted from the pain for an hour and a half and got suckered right in. What is it? 3 hours long? But I fell in love with Heath Ledger's acting. Now, that's the something Australian I can like. I recently realised that I don't like Australia, something about the wide expanses and all puts the fear of the lord into me. Now Heath Ledger. It's a loss and a tragedy. Incidentally he was one of those genuises who missed dying of an overdose when he was 27 only to die at 28. So that puts the worry back in my heart again.

Dev D - I guess this means I've seen all versions of Devdas besides having read the book. I don't really have an opinion on this because I was so busy thinking of all the horror stories I heard when this was released about how people watched it with their in-laws, parents, colleagues, and online friends. As I watched each secne I kept imagining how the people who narrated their stories would've squirmed in their seats during every other scene. Yes, that must have been fun especially considering how half the populace is so deceptively prudish. Did I like it? Yea, sure, why not? It's Devdas, after all. A book I've cried buckets over. It's so absolutely existential.

Strictly Sexual - Now this, I have to confess I didn't strictly watch. I did what I usually do with movies - fast forward, pause, watch for two minutes. Repeat procedure. Two incredibly hot guys and one neurotic screenplay. And one hot girl. Okay may be two hot girls. I'm undecided. God, someday, I must tell you my "hot" story.

My Blueberry Nights - A friend recommended this movie to me when I was heartbroken. I think now I know what he meant. Thank you, Hanu. :) You are the best.

Sex and the City - deserves a seperate post.

So teamed with watching The Matrix series, Ice Age 1,2, 3 (how is this supposed to be funnier than Madagascar? Madagascar is superlative wit) Ratatouille (It took me two nights to watch this and the first night I dreamt such strange dreams of rats. But I wasn't scared in the dream, just annoyed. Just as I was watching the movie), half of Doubt, and another half of All About Eve, I've become all about movies.

I can't wait for the day when amidst a coffee conversation or over a beer, someone says something about a movie and I go, "Oh yes, about that. Did you like..." instead of looking stoned and wondering when the conversation will move on to other things.

Absoultely fabulous! It's like being able to do Math and being fluent in languages.
Awww... dammit, there I go spoiling my own mood.

So here's a Perk Me Up for me!
I got more comments from the ball-less abusive team (why the hell do I always encounter people with no balls?) about how my blog is being thrashed on some site and how they apparently call me the Purple Pooh. My reply? If you really are doing that and can really write coherently, then thank you, ladies. All publicity is good publicity.

Don't give up on me so soon. As The Carpenters would say, "I've only just begun..."

My Blueberry Nights, seriously. She has the most kissable mouth. And I guess you ought to be in a particular frame of mind to like it. I like the squirrel guy, but I'd heard so so much about Ice Age,
I thought it will be so fun and I'd be laughing throughout. But it was just "yea, okay."

Spielberg will come, what movies did he direct anyway, apart from Titanic? Oh hang on that was the Cameron guy. LOL. One of the best moments of college! :)Hey, do you have that script by the way?

Oh damn, I forgot Juno. And to all of you who thought I would love it, I did. :)

Join the club darling...
I know we call Freety as tweety.. But somehow every time I hear Le Festin, I can't help but think of him! :-)

And about the BBB (Ball-less, Brain-less, Bitches), they don't qualify for a response. They have accpeted that their faces don't deserve to be seen and have hidden in their own shit. So let them live there as every low-life deserves and IGNORE maadi!

LOL, considering I said the movie annoyed me, I don't know what it will mean if I were to say, I know, to the Freety comment. LOL. But God, yes, I agree.

BBB, no too puerile and not even consistent in the bitchiness. BBB? LOL, Gopics. :D
